优品赏析__THE BEETLE BY ROMAIN LAURENT

Basically the idea came from the fact that most of the people pay no attention to what’s really little. When you take a close look at those things, you’ll discover that there are tons of details that deserve to be showed. But not just in the “macro photography style” way.
Plus, technology is now all about “Nano”, always smaller, faster. That means if the miniaturization goes on this way for a few more years, bugs will be able to party, dance and wear headphones like us.
I thougt it will be funny to illustrate that with a beetle.
A real one, dead, that I have shoot in different positions to have each members of the body well orientated. I also shoot real headphones and mp3 player.
Then during the postproduction, I gave it this human behavior. by re-arranging its body in a dancing position and making it wear the headphones and the mp3 player.
As a final point I add the moving wire is the detail which give life to the picture.
